SM 54 SUPER (L-4S) is the upgraded version of BKT ́s bestseller pattern SM 54. This new tire still featuring a smooth tread is best suited for reach stackers in intermodal transport and logistics applications. Its flatter tread profile along with an increased tread depth ensures more stability in lift mode as well as a longer product life cycle. Moreover the reinforced casing and bead structure stand for excellent stability. Nontheless, the tire ensures firmer seating on the rim – a key feature especially when turning at low speeds. The extraordinarily thick sidewalls provide excellent protection against damages such as lateral impacts or side rubbing, a frequent occurrence at congested logistic hubs. SM 54 SUPER (L-4S) is made of a specifically designed tread compound that reduces excessive heat generation, whilst the inner-liner compound provides improved air retention that ensures optimum inflation pressure control during operations.
